I really love the texture on this photograph. It's almost gritty and there are little scratches in some places, but it gives it a very mysterious, almost haunting, feeling. I checked out the rest of your series, and I think I really like how frosted this one looks in comparison to some of the other ones. It's still very clear, but not as much as [link] .
The composition of this shot is also very beautiful. I love the focus on her torso and arm and that the don't see anything above her chin. I also felt like that by choosing this section of the body to shoot that it really elongates her back and neck and makes her appear to be very elegant.
And the dark duskiness of this shot, which also adds to the haunting feeling, is also just straight up gorgeous. I love the gray of the background and how it complements the blue of her dress. Her skin and hair also has a lot of almost purple tones in it as well, which I think works very well.
I think this one is my favorite shots in the whole series! Great work!
thank you for the time and attention that you've paid to my work... it's really unusual in our world where everyone is busy. I'm also happy you've liked my work and I would like to thank you for alllll your kind words about this piece
Really, really nice piece. I've never understood photography and have always been terrible with a camera, so it is an art I always enjoy looking at when I see some good pieces. I love how you didn't include the face in the shot, therefore giving the piece a sense of anonymity as well as a sense of reliability to the viewer. Also, a random thought; makes me think of the song Sail by AWOLNATION.
Definitely not needed/necessary, but it would be cool if this was accompanied by some elegant typography and made into a wallpaper.
Anyway, beautiful piece, and keep on rocking. Tally ho, and all that.
